Our Story
The Uglow family have farmed pigs at West Balsdon Farm since 1955. Now in our 4th generation here, we continue to rear and produce high quality Pigs.
In 1999, the family made the decision to set up a small cutting and processing plant in a Council unit in Whitstone and The Cornish Farmhouse Bacon Company was born. Business steadily grew and on the 1st August 2002 we opened our own Abattoir, cutting and processing plant on our family farm. Business has continued to grow, and the original premises has continued to grow with it, we are continuously updating and maintaining the building to keep a clean, modern processing environment but maintaining traditional methods.
